Angry Anyone on O2 for mobile? Its f**ked today

As per title really. Pretty annoying!

https://status.o2.co.uk/

The o2 website states data loss only, but im unable to call, text or use data! And neither is my wife. Fortunately ive got a workphone on Vodafone that I can use to keep going...but its not on really..... particularly as I can't contact my wife (and visa versa) whilst she's at home with our little baby.

You know for many, many years, people didn`t have mobiles, and the world kept turning,
Chill out, its only a mobile phone, it will all be fine tomorrow, so you can get ya fix then.

its not about the data loss mate, couldn't give a monkeys about that. But not being able to call/text when you've got a poorly wife at home looking after your 3 month old isn't the best.....

As an update though, about 5 mins ago calling/texting capability has returned. Just no data now.

Can't you use data to call nowadays if call isn't available

Yes you can. But not sure you've read the original post..... the main problem is data services are down. So no 3G/4G available. WIFI is okay, but no mobile data.

I'm with O2.
I haven't had any problems with calls or texts.
Do you not have wifi available?
Call her on WhatsApp if you do

Calls and texts seem to have fixed themselves now. But were out this morning. There's WIFI at my work, but not a system I can sign into with my personal phone. Data still down. We can get by now, but I feel sorry for anyone who was relying on their phone internet for anything. Looks like a lot of transport services are out of action as well for communications as they rely on the o2 data network.

Is there an option to download 2g. I’m sure that’s still about.

It is **** when the power goes off, you can do **** all, and your wife/girlfriend most likely wants to talk - lots.
Then your mobile goes dead, and that's it - game over

Mine died. Slightly inconvenient

Wifi still worked

I Don’t use phone to pay for stuff (due to battery, drop it and it dies or simply gets nicked), so this is the only real reason I could see someone getting screwed (Unless NFC payment can use WiFi).

If the outage caused you so much stress I would seriously consider going on a digital detox; I usually go on one when I break mine (which is fairly often ).
