2. To me it's a good thing, I'm all for open source, I doubt Apple feel that way.

1. Parts of the iBoot code (which were leaked) are still used to underpin the iPhone's security in the latest releases.
2. You're screwed.

The code has been in the public domain for months.
It is worth noting that newer iPhones and other iOS devices ship with Secure Enclave, which protects against some of the potential issues that come with the leaked iBoot source code. So, I really doubt that the leaked code will be of much help.
