PC keeps dumping a wired ethernet internet connection?
Brand new router, booster fitted by Virgin yesterday. No problems wirelessly, both phones, the laptop and a pad connect perfectly.
But my desktop keeps dumping the connection, despite it being an ethernet wired one, and refuses to connect until I do a restart.
The computer is shut down every night.
It's an Acer AX3960, running Windows 10, 4 GB DDR3, i3 2100 processor, 1TB hard drive.
Any ideas guys?

As above or driver issue.
I've had issues with Realtek branded Ethernet controllers that do this after a rogue auto-update.
Can't remember exactly how I fixed, but it did involve downloading new drivers (or older ones), uninstalling them and reinstalling. That sorted it...until Windows did another sodding update
Rather than re-booting I found if you went into control panel and disabled the Ethernet card, waited a few seconds and then re-enabled it, it would kick it into life.

Have you assigned a fixed IP address which resided in the new routers DHCP range?
Anything in the event log?
kick off a "ping -t bbc.co.uk" and see if the line stays active. If it drops, did you do anything at the time?

Went into https://redirect.viglink.com/?format...-in-windows%2F when it did it this morning.
It said everything was OK, but it couldn't start the driver.
I asked it to check hardware and it came on straight away.

Did you check the power saving features?

Click Windows icon

click on the dos box
in the dos box type
ipconfig /all > c:\ip.txt
Browse to your C drive and copy & paste the contents of ip.txt in here.
In the same dos box type
