Apple music subscription

My son has just got the iphone 8 transfered everything over but his apple music didnt go on to new phone

Check Settings | Music, should show that it’s turned on and you’re logged in with the right account.

I was paying my subscription of £9.99 month but my iPhone 8 deal allowed me to take 6 months Apple Music , so what I did was go into my settings & unsubscribed from there ..waited for the text from EE to say welcome to Apple Music , pressed on the link & my 6 months started . All my songs are in the cloud so just filtering through atm
