It's actually a router / protocol thing rather than OS Specific (IOS and Windows have patched round the bug)

Hmm, I didn't think it affected Windows.

Unifi were quick out of the door http://mailchi.mp/ubnt/unifi-one-of-...e?e=7900995280

And before anyone thinks I'm gloating iOS is vulnerable, expect a patch. The main gloat here is a lot of Android devices, mostly the ones that inflate numbers... cars, fridges won't be getting an update.

meh only android 6 affected, I'm on 7 soon to be 8.

Why the **** would someone try to hack the wifi in a net connected Sammy fridge?

Creating risks out of nothing.

Yea I know but the likelihood of someone even bothering is slim to nil.

Once an app is out there might be a bit of fun to be had. Fun for neckbeards like you can be trouble for the rest of us.
