The True Tone display really does help with my eyes, should be on every device, but while suckers will buy a new Samsung just for a few bigger numbers, no new tech, why would they.

The area that is bad is the same for everyone, it's the black vulture that is badly out of focus or the entire right hand side of the photo. It's like a photo of 2 halves as the left is perfectly in focus which seems to be the only bit you are looking at.
It could be of course you like bearded men and deliberately focused on him

I thought you’d all moan about the somewhat off processing of the bokeh. Still amazing for a point and shoot phone.

I read various reviews between the iphone and Note 8 and the camera on the iphone is generally considered better according to the reviews so I doubt any other phone would have done any better but I also bet there isn't much in it between any of the top 3 of Apple/Samsung/Google when all 3 are taking the same photo.

it does and the editing with the s-pen is one of the main reasons I have stayed with the note range over the iphone but anyone who wants to look at their photos is going to use a large tablet at least or more preferably a high res monitor on their pc to really see how good their photos have come out - i use my ipad pro as the screen on that is stunning.
Mine turns up this afternoon so will see just what improvements there are over my old creaky Note 4 which has been my best phone by a long way (until it's system board became faulty )
