On a casual glance Processor looks a bit weedy for a desktop http://m.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cp....30GHz&id=2634

Put it this way, the mobile cpu in my 2yr old ultra book gets a faster result (and that's a cut-down power-saving CPU).

Even my aincient q9550 just about beats it and that's almost 9 years old!! http://m.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cp....83GHz&id=1049

Not a clue on the graphics.

Would possibly push for 16gb ram (can never have too much)

And maybe SSD as a boot drive.

1030

very poor spec, doubt it will play many games at full graphics settings even now.

Need to add a 1 in front of the price to get a reasonable spec gaming pc. To put it into context I've just spent £700 on a graphics card alone.

yeah I went auros xtreme in the end for the extra cooling, quite a step up from my gtx980 and that was only struggling on odd games (arma3 is pretty good running 3k view range and max settings haha).

Amazon Amazon

not done the monitors yet, but they are on my list to do, ebuyer had an offer on for a 27 inch 165hz and was sorley tempted but didnt pull the trigger in the end. other thigns to buy at the min unfortunatly

Funnily I went from a 980gtx to exactly the same 1080Ti card as you well worth the move up, did a Haven check before and after, pretty much doubled my score

For playing at 1080p this is a decent system for the money.

http://www.ebuyer.com/770258-cyberpo...ng-pc-ecc01785

Just add a 256gig ssd for the operating system and another 8gig of ram and he'll probably never need to replace it unless moving up to 4K screens.

great minds think alike

When i went looking it seemed to be the cooling was the most important thing, so had to be tripple fan, the two i had my eye on were out of stock and amazon had that one on offer so thought sod it

i havn't benched my machine recently, put an m.2 in it as well and that makes a huge difference even over a decent ssd, well worth the £120 for it.
