I gave in and bought these at the airport last week. I'm not a fan of earbuds.
They sound at least as good as my Sony earbuds, not sure which they are but they're over a decade old and were expensive. The battery isn't going to be a problem, still at 60% and I've had them over a week with some usage every day. They don't turn off on their own, that's rubbish. The range is astonishing, connected to my iMac which doesn't have fancy bluetooth I have full house, garden and down the road connectivity. My phone had coverage in the airport as far as I dare walk from my luggage. Fitted straight out of the box, bike test coming up.
Bose QC's with wired connection are still the boss on airplanes.

I think the Beats studio sound better than the Bose ones, I'm tempted to buy the B&O h7 as they sound great and are really comfortable. With Apple changing to wireless earbuds the wired beats in ear headphones crashed in price and i got some of those and they sound great. Too much to kill your phones battery when your out and about listening to music on wireless headset and say playing on the web.
