I have one number but I'm looking to get a few quotes would want it done maybe once every month to 6 weeks but want a good detailer.

Are you are taking the p@ss? Every 4/6 weeks!

A proper detail costs hundreds and will take one or two days. I bet this is in general too?

Can I not ask a question now without a negative opinion from you? So what if it's in general also, you only allowed to post in regional are you?

It's been pointed out before mate, you ask the same question numerous times, in different sections, get advice and ignore it (which is your choice) but to detail a car once a month is f@#king barking. Especially if you really mean "detailing" or are you just after a good clean?

The alternative is do it yourself, unless of course you want to brag about it.

What questions have I asked numerous times? Apart from a question about which model car people prefer when I was looking to buy one as I didn't want to buy blind. If I want to ask a question here and in the general section I will thanks. What advice have I ignored? How do you know I have ignored any? I ask questions on things I'm not sure about I'm not Nostradamus so sorry. I take all advice and suggestions and listen to all points of view, so again if I want to ask the same question on different pages about any matter to get all opinions/thoughts and suggestions I will. I should of choose my words better when asking the original question, I'm looking for a good clean inside and out and polish and all blemishes removed from the paintwork as I want the car kept in very good condition this being as I normally don't have a free 6-8 hours any time of the week to do it myself due to work/family commitments that's why I want someone good to look after my car.

Thanks for all the advice people it's much appreicated. I think I will get it detailed properly around July-August and in the meantime use my own stuff if I get time but as that's unlikely I will look at alternatives.

Why would you ask this in general tho as you live in Wales and most people who post in the general section are English

Ti22 is very good and not that far away detail once a year and then just keep on top by using micro fibre cloths and grit guards in wash buckets etc...

I use meguires quick wax through out the year as its quick and easy to use and just spray on and wipe off

Just to add the car was fully detailed which took 5 days of detailing to complete.

It wont need detailing again unless the paintwork is damaged from poor maintenance. To look after it you need to take extra precaution not to lean on the car, rub anything over the car or use aggressive products on the car. You can do this yourself if you want to buy some products, you would need a jetwash, lambswool mitt and car shampoo at the minimum.

I would not dry the car, this is where most scratches will come from as you are essentially rubbing a dry cloth over a dry car. When I had the car I used a pet hair drier to blow the water off the paint so I didnt need to touch it with a cloth. If you do want to dry it then you will need to buy a proper drying towel for use on cars. When using it you need to dab it on the paintwork and never drag it across the paint.

I would predict in another 6 months the paintwork could do with a refresh to remove any minor swirl marks that its been given. This can be done with hand polish or machine, but you can only machine polish a car so many times before the laquer becomes too thin so I would suggest either leaving it or using hand polishes. Hand polishes use fillers to fill the swirl marks so they will basically just hide them without removing laquer. Then of course wax on top of the paintwork to protect it.

With regards to claying the car, be careful. If you clay the car then it will need to be polished and waxed afterwards as the clay will remove everything from the paint. If the car has a lot of contaminants on the paintwork, which it doesnt right now, it can cause a lot of scratches just on its own so depending how bad the paint is it might not be worth the risk.

For now, its just a case of maintaining the paint, the car is swirl free and has a fresh coat of wax. All 4 alloys also have been waxed straight after I powdercoated them along with the brake callipers.

If you need any help then just send me a message.

Stuart.

A full detail once a year should suffice.
Just stay on top of the waxing. I use auto glym hd and it's bloody great to be honest.

Peter I will be in touch soon! I would like a quote on a deep clean for the inside and would like some advice, on what can be done to the exterior. I would like to see what can be corrected paint wise.
