Default Bugeye seat change?

Got a mate with an early bugeye wanting to change to bugeye wagon seats,

From memory I think the early bug saloons had airbags in the seats, can anyone confirm? Also guessing someone must have changed to the other style of seat without airbags?

Would appreciate any advise

The Euro-spec seats with adjustable head rests have airbags, the bucket style don't on the bugs

Thanks for the replys folks want to change airbag seats with bucket seats, has anyone done it & sorted out the air bag light to work properly?

Know for the steering wheel it's just a matter of taking a trip to Maplins & fitting a resistor

As the steering wheel its a resistor, no idea what size though.

You do know wagon and saloon rear seats are different..... fronts are the same though

Same thing for the seats, a 2.2ohm resistor. If you are scrapping the old seats, cut the airbag plug off, and solder the resistor to that, then plu into yhe oom under the seat. I used to have the resistors wedged in and taped up, but they would always give the airbag light.
