Had a new one of these recently(325D M-sport) great car, does everything you need, drives smooth, loads of room, great mpg, good interior feel, has that bit of power when you need it. Even charge the i-pad(my son loves this
)
If you need a good 2nd car, I cant think of anything better then a diesel BMW!!

BMW every time. Very tuneable also. The 123D will put out 260bhp and 340 lbs ft with a remap. Sporty enough for you?
If you want sporty I wouldn't bother with the Volvo, I had the first V50 sport in the Uk with almost every option, while it was a nice place to be and a lovely car, it was very easy to find it's limits, quite sloppy on the edge and bit vague too, it's basically a Ford focus in a fancy dress.
But don't let me put you off because they are very nice mine was gun metal grey with fancy wheels, leather, winter pack, sport pack and other stuff I can't remember, it was 2005 only thing I didn't have was sat nav as our cars all ran smart nav, definitely have the look back factor and used to p!ss off a lot of managers too, engineer with a better car,
very classy but really not what I would call sporty.
