Default Aftermarket Steering Wheel & Airbag Light Removal?

I have finally got round to fitting our carbon wheel, of course there is no air bag in this so now I have a nice big red light on the dash.

I know there is a trick when you change the seats you can use a resistor but what about the steering wheel?

I think it needs a 2Ohm 5W resistor, but don't quote me on the figures. A Google search will help.

I thought about removing the light but cant be arsed taking the clocks out!

Ive been told a resistor in the airbag plug will do it but ive cut the wires so I think its going to have to be the clocks option

Solder and heat shrink the resistor to the cut wires....far better than poking it into the connector anyway!

If you aren't good at soldering:
Slide an adequate length of heatshrink onto the wire, make sure it is away from where you will heat.
Strip the insulation from the wire about 10mm, and wrap the wire round the resistor leg.
Now warp about 15mm solder round that.
Place soldering iron in contact underneath and wait for the solder to melt. Remove iron, keep joint still for a few seconds to allow solder to set.
Slide heatshrink over the joint and gently run soldering iron over it, do not stay in on place too long, until it shrinks to grip joint.
Repeat with second wire onto second resistor leg.

Or just cheat and use a couple of terminal blocks, aka "chocolate bar connectors".
