Default uk vn gearbox transfer box

Are all transfer boxes on vn gearboxes interchangeable with each other? So would a ty752vn6aa transfer box including its gears and bearings bolt straight onto to a ty754vn5aa gearbox? I know the 752 has an inspection plate on top of transfer box but is this the only difference?

Sorry only just seen this. The answer is yes providing that the 754 VN5AA is still a pull clutch type.

The later VN series goes to a press clutch at about VN5 or 6AA and that will not swap due to differences in final drive type.

You need all of the 752 type as it unbolts from the main gear case.

Good Luck, David APi

Great! Thanks for reply. Yes the ty754vn5aa is still pull type. The transfer box on it is noisy (bearing wher) and have seen a ty752vn6aa with 2nd gear issues for sale for £75. If the transfer box is straight swap then I will buy it this.

Also another thing you may be able to help with. The Ty752vn1aa,2aa,3,4,5&6aa aswell as the ty754vn1aa,2aa,3&4aa all have male front diff & female drive shafts that push over stub from front diff. The ty754vn5aa&6aa both have female front diff (so holes in side of gearbox) and male drive shafts that insert into front diff. What I would like to know is can the front diffs be swapped round? So a female front diff from ty754vn5aa&6aa into one of the earlier ones & vice versa

No they cannot swap over. Tough luck on that.

That is a shame. Do you know the reason they cant be swapped,is gearbox case different or something where front diff goes?
