So you can feel it? I.e. its not a duff gauge? Split vac pipe? My car would over boost due to a split vac pipe and when it did it would fluctuate quite a bit. Either way don't keep booting it if its over boosting.

Hi mate I had the same problem on my x reg classic a few months back. I cleaned out the boost solenoid with carb cleaner by connecting the green connectors under the dash with the ignition on but not the engine. The solenoid should be clicking, mine wasn't so I took the pipes off and sprayed into it. It started clicking after it was clean. Problem solved!

It has started doing it again now so I'm going back out to clean it again!
