Default burning oil smell

right guys this is a weird one.
when i start the car for the first time in the morning or afternoon and drive off you get a awful smell of burning oil after about 5-10mins when the car has got to temp, then after about 2mins it goes away and doesnt come back till the next time you start from cold, anybody got a clue?
theres no blue smoke at the back when you start it up so dont think its the oil stem seals apart from that i dont know

cheers

That's what I would say too, accumulating over night then burning off when up to temp.

Stick you hand down there with a tissue to check for leaks.

Whats been said . .

Ive just had to do my drivers side rocker (did both). Got quoted about £300 from a garage due to the amount of time it takes. Was an absolute ******* of a job.

I had a similar problem, turned out to be the power steering pump leaking

In my case it was the cam seals and crank seal leaking onto headers
