Default Boost not kicking in at 4k :( Boost solenoid?

Hi,

my 53 plate impreza sti has stopped boosting fully at 4k.

Acceleration is very smooth, but just doesnt have the kick anymore.

Had it on a diagnostic, and it had the code for the boost solenoid.

I bought a 2nd hand one off Ebay, but pretty sure it's wrong part, as part number is different from what was on the car, and it has a blue sticker rather than an orange sticker (can anyone confirm correct part number and whether it's different between WRX and STI or classic / bug / blob?? )

Once I do get my hands on the correct one, will I need an ecu reset once fitting, before the car will run normal again? Im thinking if the car is in limp mode.

THanks!

Try cleaning your boost solenoid valve with carb cleaner mine was only boosting to 0.5 bar not sure wheather that comes up on a diagnostic check or not.If you connect the two green terminal blocks under your steering wheel and turn on your ignition but don't start your car will go through a number of checks listen to the boost solenoid valve if it is clicking it maybe needs a clean if it doesn't click it's f##ked. Not sure if there is a difference mine is fitted with a 3 port boost solenoid valve
