Default Oil Filter Size

Just received my OEM Subaru oil filter along with some other items for Opie Oils, question: The oil filter is small compared to the last one I fitted which was OEM replacement, is it supposed to be that size?
Oil filter part No; 15208AA12A

Yeah smaller filters introduced with hawkeye model which superceeded existing larger item in prev models. No probs using smaller filter on prev models

Another vote for the hks ones. Pink looks the nuts underneath too. And they have magnets in.
