STI V9 clocks in V9 WRX
All not sure if this has been asked before, but is the STI V9 clocks interchangeable with a V9 WRX? I am looking to put V9 STI clocks in my GB270 and just wanted to check if this was plug and play?
no you will get all sorts of warning lights. you can do it but it requires a relay for the abs an earth for the rear diff light and handbrake and of course you will have dccd lit up which your wrx doesn't have
I think the issue with the abs is year specific, I fitted them to my old 2003 wrx no major issues apart from fooling a few warning lights and reversing the abs signal with a relay, however post 2005 cars shouldn't need this relay as they should be using same system. The plug needs trimming slightly on your loom and turning upside down to fit in. It's not difficult to do and is a very rewarding mod as they look superb and you get the rev warning buzzer as well. Only part I never bothered with was the dimming feature for the cluster so it remained on full bright.
