Hi all. I've got a loud whine in 2nd gear on my 08 wrx hatch but it doesent happen in any other gear, thoughts?? I was told it could be the gearbox but I thought it was the turbo winding up but surely it would do it all the time?? It's not a bad whine, it actually sounds like it should be there and the sound comes from the engine.

Also I had my car dyno'd at a place called 'Eurospec tuning' in Guildford Surrey today and the power figures came back 100bhp under what it's supposed to be claimed to run, but it pulls like a train and feels that much, I don't think they done the test right as they only done one run and the garage was a shack, not a proper place at all so I think they lack the knowledge. Anyone know of anywhere that I can go for expert advice on my scooby within the Bedfordshire area, don't mind travelling as far as Northampton but that's the limit distance wise. Thanks.
