can I blank the dump valve vacuum hose off????

I want to remove my blitz ss and run without it because it's making my car run like ****e and leaking boost, can I run without it and if so what do I do with the cacuum hose that runs from the dump valve to the far left nipple on top of the throttle body? Cheers.

I removed my standard recirc valve the other day. I just used used the gasket as a template and made a blanking plate out of 6mm alloy and fitted with the gasket.
I capped off the return hose to the inlet and uses the vac line for my boost gauge.
You will just need to block this off either with a small bolt and cable tie, or think of another way lol
The runs much smoother without it as it was quite jerky before. It also makes a tad more boost, but that could have been the ic hoses leaking as they were not very tight.

as above make sure your running a strong turbo, health of turbo will matter aswell, it may cause more issues running without one if its not mapped in, im running v/less but on a brand new sc46, it could cause issues if the turbo has had a hard life
cheers guys I'll weigh up my options and maybe jyst repair the dump valve, was just a thought because I know alot of cars run without dump valves from standard like the jap drift guys and so on.
the TD04 is a pretty old designed turbo, and usually pretty strong. its just the usual people commenting with no actual experience of doing things as they just go off what everyone else says!

The dump valve was on it when I got the car but it was leaking boost like mad so I tightened the soring on it and it stopped it abit but not completely so I just want rid now, plus I feel like a chav when it gies pssshhhhhhhh lol. Can't beat wastegate chatter.
I dont even get the chatter as its still got the std inlet system on it, resonator box etc.
in time i have a few plans for the car, but i only took it off to test it as the car seemed to judder a lot under light throttle, and gear changes felt like you were hitting a rev cut sometimes. its certainly smoothed out the drive of the car, so for the time being i will leave it off.
the TD05 is also a strong turbo, so 'should' be ok.

Fudgey, the td04 will be fine. Us starlet guys ran td04s without for years with no issues.
If the turbo is poor it "might" help it on its way, but it hasn't affected mine ever!
And its not wastegate chatter. It is air feeding back through the compressor housing when the throttle body gets shut. No where near the wastegate or anything to do with the exhaust side of things.
A more apt name would be compressor stall. Although the compressor doesn't actually "stall" it is trying to sppin the compressor the other way when the air meets the shut throttle body. Hence the noise, the blades cutting the air the wrong way

I'm now running an MD321T which is also rated as a strong turbo. The sound it makes bovless is awesome - for about 10 minutes. Now it's got a Forge recirc fitted and to be honest the turbo sounds happier and it doesn't scare other drivers when you overtake them and change up!
From what i gather the vf series are weaker and dont like dvless.
Im from a mostly ford background where the old garrett t34 etc can take a good hiding but reputable tuners have said the td04 i

Ok I've made a management decision, I don't like the sound of a bovless td05 as it sounds like me after running up the stairs and it doesn't make mine run any better so the blitz ss is going back on.
Whilst I've got a thread going does anyone have any idea where the connection for the digital clock in the centre console would be nowhere to be seen, is my car even meant to have 1? It's a turbo 2000.
