UK,JDM R180 rear diffs. How can i tell them?
Hi m8s
I do have a problem
I have 4 diffs flying around. All diffs are 2001-2003 STI R180 Diffs
2x JDM STI 2003 DCCD
1x UK STI 2001
1x JDM STI 2001 non DCCD
The JDM 2003 can be seen by the Tempsensor in the diff.
But how can i tell which is a UK and a JDM R180 non DCCD???
Regards!

pop the front cover off and on the crown wheel there is a stamped ratio which will tell you which is 3.54 and which is 3.9. Its difficult to see so you will need to look very closely, it will be in the form 39:11 which would be 3.54 i.e 39 divided by 11.
If the diff is on a car then jack the car and mark a rear wheel and mark the diff flange, for a 3.9 diff the diff flange will rotate 3.9 times for every one revolution of the wheel.
