steering rack

Are there any advantages to getting an sti steering rack and fitting it to a wrx

id fit a spec c one, I did this and its much better to drive as it has less turns lock to lock.
I have an sti though.

I won one off a blob sti with white line bushes and the seller is messing me about a little and was wondering if I persevere and get the rack or just get my money back
