Default Moon Landings

Just watched "Did we land on the Moon?" Are there really so many people who refuse to believe the Americans landed on the moon, six times?

Yeh, I saw that one.

It just amazes me how desperate some people are in their attempts to disprove what happened.

Listen - I'm not surprised by any stupidity or ignorance any more.

Yesterday morning on R1 breakfast, some American tool called Robin Thicke revealed a jaw dropper.
Basically this guy didn't know that a lamb was a baby sheep - genuinely didn't know until recently.

How do you go through life and manage to avoid that kind of knowledge?

Yeah, but you should really listen to the interview.

He was convinced that lambs and sheep were two totally different animals

Think he is Canadian though , but even so USA or Canada does seem to have more of the normal ratio of numpties than most other Countries.

Years ago I went to Kennedy Space Centre and find it hard to believe to they didnt went when they spent so much on building the spacecraft and seeing what they tell you there.

No...they asked NASA to help them, and NASA, of course, have NO vested interest......

Just ask yourselves ONE question.

Why was it, when the Chinese announced they would send a rocket to the moon, that the Americans suddenly found it necessary to fire a bomb at the moon, and IT HAD TO LAND ON THE ORIGINAL MOON LANDING SITE?

I personally don't think we landed on the Moon. The Radiation in space is enough to kill anything or anyone. Yet American Astronauts went there, and we're protected from all the Radiation by 2mm thick Aluminium.

And the reason they won't go back now? Cost!!!

So you're saying those astronauts on the ISS are not really there? They're just clever animatronics?

these barmy conspiracy theories (and the nutters propagating them) are the main reason why extra-terrestrials will never visit us, they will just fly on by

errm.... they did actually - they crashed two probes into the moon - to try & find buried ice/water in the dust debris....

http://news.nationalgeographic.co.uk...act-crash.html

Although the results were not what they expected.... and it wasn't at the site of the Lunar landings either....

The space station is NOT in Space. It's in orbit around earth, still under the protection of Earths atmosphere.

the iss is in a low earth orbit and is protected by the geomagnetic field around the earth as was all the shuttle misssions. once above this field there is then the van allen radiation belts which are very dangerous with high and dangerous levels of radiation and of course open space above and beyond that. it does seem far fetched to think that 2mm of tin foil protected the occupants from dangerous and unpredictible levels of radiation. if you read about it nasa say that they only flew through this radiation belt for a short time but beyond these belts its reasonable to assume there are plenty more regions of radiation with dangerous levels on a trip to the moon?
