Default classic wagon rear end knocking....

i have just put my car on the road after having it laid up for 2 and a 1/2 years and have done about 50 very steady miles since but now the car has started to knock from what sounds like the drivers rear when driving and it does get worse the faster you go.is there an easy way of telling if its a shaft or diff or wheel bearing(which i dont think so)i the drive shaft on the drivers side looks to have more play in it compared to the left...

any help would be great, cheers guys

I don't think it is,even on a smoth road it does it,the drivers rear shaft does seem loose compared to the passenger side(side to side movement)
