Hi All,

I was pulling away in first this evening when i got a bang from the engine bay and stopped accelerating. If I left it in gear at about 3000 rpm, the car would do about 3 mph with a bit of rattling. It kind of felt like the clutch was slipping really badly but still had just a little bite.

When I tried locking the Centre Diff, I got power back to the wheels and was able to drive the car home. With the diff locked I am told the car should be more difficult to steer, but it wasn't at all.

Car is 96 STi RA V2 with DCCD.

Any ideas what the issue is? All help much appreciated.
