Question

recently gone full de-cat (TSL downpipe / Blitz Nur Spec R) and got 250bhp (on a hot day) from my otherwise standard MY00 Turbo 2000.

what power increases anyone else get, especially with the exhaust being the only mod?

cheers, peccy

Hi peccy,

About a year ago I had a Jap Innovations downpipe, HKS Hiper and Blitz cone and I got 249bhp from a 1996 UK (208 bhp standard as opposed to you 215bhp according to the manufacturer's figures) but at the time they diagnosed a cracked coilpack which was losing me some power. It was also 26 degrees that day!!

Also on the RR day we've just been on, Dave from Jap Innovations got 260bhp from his 95UK with just cone filter and their own exhaust straight through (the same system I have now).

I'm hoping for 330-340bhp now.

So, I reckon you are about right with that figure.

Cheers

Rich

Sorry to change the angle of the thread, but if the plod pulled a fully de-catted Scoob what sort of trouble could a person expect after failing the emmisions check?
fine? points? jail? the chair?

AFAIK (and I would like this to be confirmed).

You can defer a road side emmissions test and get one done later at an MOT station, giving you chance to put a cat back on.

Brun,

if you fail the test, you get 7 days to put it right then get an MOT garage to stamp the producer slip and take it back to the police station

now back to orignal thread, whats peoples power gains after going full de-cat?...
