Default 2.5 wrx back box

Just wondering if a back box and panel filter would make any difference to my bhp on my 55 reg wrx. Also would the turbo spool up quicker. Thanks

Non whatsoever. Very first two mods I did to mine.

The WRX TD04 is very quick spooling to start with. Is yours a late Blob or early Hawk?

This will give you a rough idea of what is required for more power.

It's the hawk eye, its seams to be strong mid range but don't put you in your seat until after 3k revs. It ok but would just like a bit more poke. Thanks for the reply and Will check out the feeds you sent

My hawk was 227 on the dyno as standard. I put on a Prodrive back box, Scorpion mid section (I kept the cats) and a Pro R air filter and had it remapped. I got 272bhp and 350 Nm.

How did you keep the cats? you must have removed the second cat when you fitted the centre pipe.

What you did to yours is pretty similar to what you would get fitting PPP.

Don't know of anyone immediately local to you but this gent has a very good rep on here and will travel.

I would say it's worth the trip to Scotland to see Andy Forrest, the drive back in your 'new' car will be the best you'll ever have!
