I'm almost decided to get some Grid Drifts in 9.5" for my 05 Blobeye, already asked Mag's for advice which I've got, but to I'm still stuck on what tyres to fit?
I know 225's will pop straight on prob with no arch rolling, but I'd rather roll the archs and fit wider tyres like 235 or 245.
May I ask for some pics with wheels/arch spec details and other mods you have done to get wider tyres on.
I have BC's and rear camber bolts already fitted, I know I'd need them adjusted to suit the wheels.
Thanks in advance.

After I sorted the tech questions out I need to figure out what colour LOL, was 99% sure of white on wr blue, but hyperblack looking mean.
Overboost: that's where I got the colour from, looks great. Still worried about them unprotected wheels on 225's

I know it's not what most would advise, but it depends what look you want. Form over Function and all that
lol.Touch wood, I've not had any problems with the 225's on the 9.5 rim at all, and thats under some serious speeds/cornering. Just make sure they are mounted correctly and the correct tyre pressures are present, thats what stretched tyres rely on the most.

I've seen both white and hyperblack on blue both look awesome.....still on the side of white, despite the cleaning of them...do this every week anyways lol
Don't want to dampen the handling, as I enjoy the odd country lane blast too much.

If you drive your Scooby you will have to roll arches
Piece of **** though
Jack car up get wood pick axe handle and lower car using tyre as guide
People may mock but this method works
You will need bc s or similar too
Don't put arch extensions on its a total different look

Already have BC's, so you recon even with 225's roll the archs just to be safe?
I was thinking of driving upto to Mag's place for the complete fit and finish inc archs, he uses ArchEnermy.
Hi Darren
HyperBlack on WR Blue will looks just great,we have and we are very happy with colour for now
9.5J will fit,but would suggest camber bolts and adjust ride hight if you will be going with 245/40

Have coilovers, rear camber bolts on, just need adjusting and rolled or pulled archs then.
One more question though.....its not a mot fail as the wheels stick out of the archs a little is it?
Yes rolled arches you will need and you will see if you will need adjust the ride height,on 245/40 we are must(rubbing issue)
Not sure on MOT fail, but from what I've spoke with people yes its fail, but if you will be running 245/40 you will need to run more camber

So then the trade off is more tyre wear?
Need some pics showing how far the wheels stick out,
How does it look if fitted with 245's tyres & wheels sticking out past the aches?
Does it look silly?
We are running little at front -2.00 camber and at rear -1.5,tyre wear is OK,still we are done on Vredestein around 5k miles and they're still in good shape
On our wagon stick out,but as you know rear end on the wagons is narrower than on sedans/saloons
Here are pics like with 255/40
245/40 ZR18

If your looking for that "stanced "look 225 and a roll on the arches will work without camber bolts it mite rub with rear passengers slightly but you won't get away with out rolling the arches if you wanting to get that low aggressive look there is noting worse than having an aggressive wheel tyre set up and not being able to lower the car to suit because the tyres rub looks terrible.. Have a look though my old posts ad threads you'll find some pics of my black blob eye.

245,40,18s will go on with arch rolling and camber bolts , we fitted these to juras car , something like the vredesteins as they have quite a curved tread edge which gives you abit more clearance aswell .
so you can go that route bud

Toffee: that looks perfect.....more track suited though isn't it, and cost of them fat tyres god.
Mags I'm happy to have the arches rolled to get the bigger tyres on to protect the wheels more, and get on well with Vred's so that's good they help.... Can you russle up a attractive price for the white drifts, 18x9.5", what offset? 245 vred sess, arch rolling, ride height adjust all in one day please?

Once the arch's have been rolled what do use to protect the inner arch from collecting water and rusting the panel away over time?
I have a tub of black wax stuff forgot the name that I used to redo the rear inner arch's would that be ok, fill in the gap etc?
If its not too much trouble could a wiz on photoshop paste these 2 wheels on my car, don't have to be bang on just to get an idea, thanks in advance:-
or if u have other ways of finding pics?
