Question How can I upgrade a non-UK STI-S to 340R spec?

Hi all,

I'm thinking about replacing my trusty MY02 STi PPP with a new STI-S and upgrade it to 340R spec, since the official 340R model is not available here in Italy (or elsewhere).

Is it possible to get an upgrade kit in UK and then have it fitted abroad?
Is the Pro-R kit the same fitted to official 340R models?

Yes, I could probably achieve the same figures by resorting to a local tuner, but I'd much rather go down the OEM-ish route. You see, 10 years ago I took delivery of my bug-eyed STi, fitted it with the OEM PPP and today it's still running perfectly with 162k+ miles on the clock...

TIA,
Andrea

If your STi is an import on a 2.0 then the pro r kit is incompatible

Yes it is.

Getting the replacement exhaust components would be fairly simple, but getting the ECU reflashed maybe the stumbling block.

As stated Cross Roads Garage (Pro-R Racing) may be the ones to get in contact with.

What are the UK fuel suppliers that have 97RON?

AFAIK Esso does but I have been reading in a forum that Esso 97 is "like normal UL"

Does anyone know if JET do SUL in UK and what octane rating?

In Germany JET has 98RON and I have found a JET petrol station in the Midlands but I am not sure if they have SUL and how many octanes it is.

Most companies serve up 97 Ron fuel but most people with Subarus use Shell Vpower 98 or Tesco Momentum 99.

The standard OEM map for the WRX STi requires min 98 RON
