Default 04 WRX mod driving technique

Hi All,

I am a day 2 scooby driver, it is a WRX Upgraded Turbo and just wondering if someone could give me a bit of advice please.

Day 1 i basically hit the throatle full wack through the gears the roads would allow me (no more than 3rd haha)

But Day 2 i have kinda of a slower excelleration foot, but the boost today is unreal! - throws me right back.

So my Question is really do the Turbos respond better to a slower foot or is it because the car has been stood for about a month and now day 2 its kind of cleared out???

Thanks sorry for the noob Question.

Welcome bud,
The faster you put your foot down, as far as I know, the faster you will go.
you will find if you are putting your foot down a bit more , but at lower revs, as you start to move you will be building boost, so when you get to where the revs work, it might seem to pull better,
as long as it is running fine, I would just enjoy the smiling pedal.

You will find you do get a bit of lag if you just plant your foot from stand still. Best bet is to build the boost up then give it the beans.

'Excelleration'? Really?

I'm amazed that you actually got a responce!

Back on topic, as has already been said, from stand still, flooring the throttle will give you a bit of lag because you are out of the turbo range. Once you hit around 2700rpm, the TD04 turbo will light up. So if you are travelling say in 3rd at around 2500rpm and then open the throttle, you will achieve boost earlier than if you were going from stand still.

Now, back to your spelling.......!

Not sure what's worse, his spelling or your timekeeping.

Thread is almost a year old :P

Wow, why would you even drag this back up?

But since we are stuck in a time warp here, this post was when i first got the car and the first Subaru i had owned, and no doubt i was full of adrenaline from my drive! hence the reason i never checked the grammar and no doubt had multiple thoughts in my head!

But for anyone reading this next year it was because..................
