hi all the air con in 2001 bugeye wrx isnt cold at all would it be just a re gas or is there other things i need to check before i waste my money? also there is a rattle seems to be behind the dials or just below them only rattles when going over pothole or rough ground it. i already took the steering column and underside or footwell off and gaffer taped some plugs together but that hasnt stopped it. any clues. can i get my hand up behind dials? justin

 

Your air con will need a leak check. Take it to your local air con place I would recommend you keep away from the likes of the Kwik fits and other fast fit monkeys!

 

Ditto on avoiding thick-twits, get a local mobile auto aircon specialist to service your system, it may cost you twenty or thirty quid more......but it can work out cheaper in the long run (new pump when the seals blew after over pressuring )

 

I've got a 2001 bug, the AC is ice cold so definitely get it checked. Pass on the rattle sound though!!
