Default ty754vn1ab box into 93 wrx ra

hi lads does anyone one no if this box is compatible with the standard rear ra diff? ive no idea what ratio the ra rear diff is as standard.

the car has a newage sti engine in it with the classic ty752 short box (120mph top speed) its just too short for me.the ty754 box i can get for free from a 2001 uk wrx.

cheers lads

You would need the matching rear diff, the 93 RA uses a 4.1 where as the WRX bug uses a 3.54.

cheers for the reply mate, right thats fine i was expecting that.are all the early classic wrx ra's a 4.1 diff?

would this ty754 box and 3.54 diff be up to the task of 355bhp? im not intending tracking or doing mad starts with it,its just a toy for the weekend.

Not all no....The MY95 and MY96 uses a 3.9 and MY97-on use 4.4

As for what power will what gearbox take, thats a matter of opinion and experience.

cool,i was just making sure it wasnt a "bad" box to fit.i didnt realise there were so many diff types for early ra's.ill need to hunt down a 3.54 diff then.
