I've got an MY02 WRX. I want to put the rev meter in the centre , where the speedo is, for obvious reasons. Is the possible ? How much would the dealer charge to do ?

U can only do that by fitting a JDM instrument pack, but then again u'll also need to convert the km/h scale into mph.

The new Sti has the speedo and rev counter reversed and is in mph - don't know how much to change but a dealer should be able to order the parts

So you can't just remove two screws and swap them over then ?

Yes, two screws plus a couple of plugs.

It MAY just work with mph instead of kph - I think you need a converter though.

Funnily enough, I just happen to have for sale a JDM STi instrument cluster.

It has a 9000 rpm rev counter in the middle and a 180Kpm speedo on the right. It also has the adjustable rev warning light and buzzer plus the STi logo. (I upgraded to the 260 Km/h one)

I expect that you could use this, plus a kph/mph converter "black box" to give you what you are after (i.e. a 180 mph speedo with rev counter in the middle). You can get the kph to mph conversions done over there.

I'm after £150 for the speedo cluster, plus shipping (I'm in NZ).

BTW fitting is pretty easy just plug and go. (That is assuming that you have an electronic speedo, which I believe all MY01 and MY02 vehicles do have).

(Edited to correct spelling!)
