Just been told today my STI will be here in 2-10days.
What have any of you been using to polish yours-----What runing in RPM,s have you been using.
Lancaster tell me the PPP should be available end of the month.

There have been a few good threads recently which gives you an insight to life with an STI7. Basically set the red light and irritaing noise to 4000 rpm for the first 1000 miles and then enjoy but take it easy over say the following 1000 miles increacing your rev limit as you go.

Trust me you have made a fantastic choice - go ENJOY like the rest of us.

If you've ordered the blue/black version like me, then you'll have a job keeping it clean. I've used Autoglym on mine which certainly gave a good initial result.

Good advice above about setting the rev warning light/buzzer at 4000 revs. Annoying but saves you having to watch the rev counter all the time. The manual does not tell you how to adjust this but its fairly obvious.

I've had mine since Feb, and have not stopped grinning yet

I use Mr (Wizard) Underwoods wax and it really is very good. Much better than Autoglym etc (I used it on my previous scoob as well). Running in will be frustrating but well worth doing. I'm nearly up to 3000 miles now and she's beginning to loosen up nicely...
