Hi, i am trying to get my front driveshafts out of my impreza uk 2000turbo.
i have a 3 leg pully on there and it still wont come out i have socked them in wd40 and they still wont come out. im trying to get them out the hub end. please any idears would be very much appreciated.

 

Put the outer nut back on so it's flush and give it a clack, can't see how your using a three leg puller on that job.
I'm guessing you have completely removed the hub in that case and it's sat on the end of the shaft?

Right Terry,
i have the pics, just trying to move them into photobucket now so i can upload them onto here.
The puller is trying to pull the flange out of the bearing, you will be there forever trying to do that mate.
Undo and split the track rod end, left hand side of your pic, and loosen the bottom ball joint, bottom of your pic.
Once you have done that there should only be the Shock absorber and the drive shaft holding the hub in place.
Remove the driveshaft nut, and as you push the centre of the driveshaft towards the engine, pull the complete hub assembly towards you, and the shaft should be out.

 

 

Right, i didnt look at the pic properly.
You Already have the hub nearly off, looks to be just held from the bottom ball joint so that should be fine.
Remove your puller and put the Nut back on the end of the shaft until the nut is flush with the end of the shaft.
Grab hold of the top of the hub, where it mounts with the 2 large bolts onto the shocky, then tap the end of the drive shaft inwards, once it has loosened, remove the nut and push the shaft out of the hub.
Does that make sense ?
