Thanks mate, looks like ive installed almost the same although my struts seemed to reach the top of the two bonnet bolts as opposed to the bottom as you have installed.
FYI this is on a classic and the struts are unbranded type. The quality of my struts looks good and they were supposed to be for a classic scoob but im thinking they maybe not quite a good enough fit. Only thing confusing me is why my bonnet sits higher, will have another look and see where its potentially catching.

best pics ive got afraid

mine are probably "cheapies" in comparison to teins, and the bolts supplied with my kit were extremley short - at a guesstimate 2 threads into bonnet, which isnt ideal imo

apart from that they function reasonably well

edited to change pic

Those look the same as mine, does your bonnet sit flush?

Confused now as I 'seem' to have fitted them correctly.

ive not got that car back yet, next week or so.

but had them on the previous classic and seemd fine mate.

i couldnt even fit the supplied washers with my kit, as when fitted the bolts were not long enough to catch even 1 thread in the bonnet!!?

ano it sounds dat but not left an accidental spanner or soething under the bonnet - dont mean to say your thick lol, but its worth just having a good look.

is it raised at hinges, or down the front?

Honestly it seems to sit higher along most of it. Not left anything untoward, however i noticed that the bracket supplied have a T shape (at 90 degrees) where the bolt goes through, currently i have the bolt tightened to the right where it seems to sit tighter, may have a fiddle and see if jogging it about helps the situation
