Default Diesel Servicing - 48k ouch

Hi

I've been quoted over £500 for my 48K service on my 2008 Diesel Outback. Sounded a little steep but it is from a main dealer. The car is now out of warranty so I'm contemplating a good independent who knows the Subaru diesel.

Does anybody have any experiences of a good diesel independent who could do the service at a reasonable price.

I'm based in Yorkshire

Thanks in advance

Dealer for the diesel's in my honest opinion, the boxer diesel is pretty much an unknown entity for most independants due to the nature of the systems it uses. Plus an dealer updates the software files on the service to the latest level most independants dont do this.
