Default Weird problem with lights?

Basically, my passenger side, sidelights werent working, front and rear, if i switched the stalk once only the drivers side lights would come on, full lights worked all round, so i figured the sidelight bulbs front and rear on the passenger side had gone. Went and bought new ones. Weekend came and was about to change them when all of a sudden they are working again. How can this be? I thought they worked indepdently in the sense of wiring.... any advice on where to start looking for the issue? Thanks

on the top side of the steering column, facing the roof there should be your 'parking lights' switch, try it out

Yeah i know, that's what im saying, the parking lights were only working on the drivers side for about a week which made me think the bulbs on the n/s had gone, however now all of a sudden they are working all round..... surely dodgy wiring?

I think there fused seperatly o/s and n/s so well worth checking the fuse box for loose connections etc
