Hey All,
i have a problem, i think i have broke my gearbox. my car was driving fine until i stopped for kfc.when i left i couldnt select first gear but could select all others (but didnt try reverse). when i tried to move the car in 2nd gear it drove away and then made a loud knocking/banging noise causing the car to jump around.

ive since removed the gearbox from the car (in the snow). when i turn the spindle in the bell housing, all three propshafts rotate but the spindle will only turn so far in either direction and then jam with a knocking sound. when i did get the car to drive, it did sound like and feel like it was stripping gears/jumping teeth. could i assume the gearbox is dead?

is it an easy task to strip down this box? TY752VB3AA, and are they easily repaired?
