I've been contacted by the organisors of Rally Day 2012, as the date is now been moved forward in the calendar to avoid clashing with the Wales Rally GB.

It is now taking place on Saturday the 18th of August, which I think is a much better date than being stuck at the tail end of September plus hopefully we should benefit from better weather.

Please see below the email I received today, the thing were noting most of all is the closing date for the cheaper tickets:

Hi,

We would like to invite your club to Rallyday 2012 which will be held at Castle Combe Circuit on Saturday 18th August 2012 which will feature another high octane mix of iconic rally cars of all ages, rally stars, interviews, autographs, trade displays and club areas and more!

Important: As the event has moved to 18th August to avoid clash with Wales Rally GB’s new date, the usual the discount club parking cut-off date is also one month earlier. To get the cheapest tickets for your club you need to submit your booking before 30th April 2012. Please note the final cut-off date for all club bookings is 20th July 2012

Ticket prices held at just £13 for advance Adult tickets and Children go FREE!

I would like to try and get similar numbers to our attendance last year as our stand had the largest participation of any non nationally based club.

Now obviously I would like to try and take advantage of the cheaper ticket prices, so with that it mind I will start a provisional list for what I consider to be the best show of the year.
