Hi guys need advice took the car out this afternoon when i got back home noticed smoke coming from under the bonnet so jump out to have a look and the smoke was coming from the exhaust where the downpipe joins the turbo manifold and it smelt like burning oil any ides wot this could be or where i can get it checked out

 

Sounds like your rocker cover gasket has gone. Very common fault.

Try and look in and around the exahust heatshield. It will leave a black mark.
Or

Run your finger around the gasket area and look for oil.

 

ok thanks for the advice dylan there is no heat shield on there i get it up on ramps on sunday weather permitting and have a look thanks again
