Default Gearbox Oil

Getting my Gearbox oil changed in couple of weeks, anyone know how many litres of oil a 1996 wrx gearbox takes? oh and what is the best oil to put in there.

I'm sure this must have been answered before, did a search but maybe i am just not too hot at using the search function!

Millers CRX 75w 90 nt (nano technology). Good stuff and perfect for the job. Your gearbox will take about 3.5 litres and the rear diff (which should be done at the same time) around a litre or so.

Yet again, Einstein is right. A 5L tub of CRX is ideal as you can do the gearbox and diff. Another really good option is the Motul Gear 300.
