Default Rear Diff Oil Capacity MY05 JDM STi PLEASE HELP!

Hi Guys,

My rear diff temp light has been coming on so i though it would be best to change the diff oil clean the sensor etc.

So done all this and the light is back. I read that it should hold 0.8L but after reading a US forum the STi apparently holds 1.0L?

Does any one know how much it is meant to take? I am wondering if its a little low and that is why the sensor is playing up and not getting a reading.

Also due to the light being on i also read the DCCD sets itself to LOCK! well i have noticed alot of clonking at low speed turning since the lights been on so that would make sence... But cant be good for it

Please help!

I was always under the impression it takes 0.8L, the clunking rear diff is not as bad as it sounds, Personally I'd do an oil change and take it from there, As far as I know you can't overfill it anyway as the bottom plug drains it and the top one fills it so when it's full it will start to come back out of the refil hole

I have read also the Sensor has a Earth wire. Any ideas where this is mounted?

Should be on the sensor that is in the rear diff, just see if you can trace the wires back, Earth should be black.
