Just piecked up a used TSL backbox and have the 3 R clips that fit it but should I also have 3 big washers as well?

Nope...no washers required.

When fitted, the "R" clips prevent the brackets from pulling out of the rubber mounts. You could use some big penny washers, but mine holds secure without them and it was fitted by TSL.

BTW did you know that even though you bought the bb 2nd hand it still has a lifetime warranty from TSL!

How many other suppliers offer that kind of warranty eh?
