Switch on top of steering column?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to scooby ownership and was just wondering what the switch on top of the steering column cowling does?

If you find you can't turn the sidelights off check that switch in case you've knocked it on accidentally.

Tis all in the handbook.

I rarely use it as i forget that i put it on lol.

Not too sure how long you can get away with it left on for, anyone got any ideas?
