Default BMW Bearings in Subaru Hubs

I have heard a rumour that some people are running an uprated BMW bearing in GC8 hubs to cope with the pressure created by bigger brakes.

Apparently it involves boreing out the hub to fit the stronger bearing. Anyone heard of this or got any more info?

I think they will be slightly out of our price range. We don't have £2000 for each side unfortunately....

Find out what bearing they are using and I could probably do it for half that price , I'm sure with them the price is exchange so they have your old hubs

What kind of problems occur to the bearing with bigger brakes?

Ian,

If you can do them for £450 I know of a few rally crews who will bite your hand off at that price....(not literally)....
