I recently fitted US aftermarket headlights to my bugeye. Ever since fitting them, when I turn the headlights on the main beam dashlight glows faintly. When I switch to main beam the dashlight glows fully - now that isnt the problem but I thought it might be relevant.
Yesterday when I was driving home I noticed that the headlights were very dim, barely giving off any light at all, though they are both on. All other lights work properly, including main beam.

Has anyone any ideas?

 

Are they using H4 bulbs? Sounds as if the lights are wired incorrectly.
