2002 WRX bugeye, manual, standard power, just turned 90k.

Recently the scoob has developed a crunch on 5th gear, not every gear change, maybe 3 changes in 5, only on the way in to gear. Doesnt matter whether I am shifting or cruising, the crunch is the same. I can sometimes avoid the crunch by holding the clutch in and very slowly slipping the gear past any resistance.

The other 4 gears are a dream, perfectly smooth. Clutch action is positive, doesnt seem to be slipping.

Any ideas?
