How do you tell the difference exactly between the STI version 3,4,5,6 they all look so similar don't they.

plus the rear wiper on all including the 4 door models , and off course the bi coloured
tail lights as well as the various assortement of decals all over the car....etc

 

sti 4 has white dials.

right this is my deduction correct me if i am wrong please,STI v2 is the older shape nose bonnet ie up to MY96,STI v3 has the MY97 bonnet and vents etc but same dash as the v2,the STI V4 has the same nose and bonnet as the v3 but the later white dial dash with the center cubby hole and digital mileometer,the v5 has the exact same interior as the v4 but a two piece high rear wing and the my99 onwards front bumper,and last of all the STI V6 is the same as the version 5 but with a lower front spoiler lip on to the front and a small tail flick in the top section of the rear spoiler.these are my presumptions and may not be correct,second anwser is only just is durham in england salsa king
