Lost first gear yesterday been looking everywhere for a gear box as it's 600 to recon mine

I have a 2001 bug eye wrx code TY754VN2AA

I have found 1 off a 2002 wrx bug eye that has covered 48k does any 1 no if I will be ok with this

Unfortually the seller has not put up a code for the box and I cannot get hold of him ATM

Recon yours , buy a second hand one it could last 50 mile......could last 50k.

I see where your coming from bud......did the exact same with a evo8 , box lasted me 3 weeks and cost me £550 s/h....recon was £900, ended up costing me over £2k with all the labour swapping boxes twice / fluids etc

I see it as false economy now

 

I asked him any guarantee on the box and he said he would offer me month guarantee with the box he also got 100% feedback and over 2000 sales

Messaged another seller with a recon box and he wants 380 and 120 postage

Just trying to keep the cost down only had the car 2 months and spent a small fortune already
